My name is Georgia Loftis and I am the president of the Delta Psi chapter of Delta Delta Delta at Rhodes College. I have the honor of representing a group of incredible young women who are intelligent, accomplished, caring, friendly and determined to make a difference. I am so proud of our chapter and the positive impact that we are leaving on our community inside and beyond the gates of Rhodes! Our Tri Delta chapter is committed to academic growth, building lasting friendships, providing valuable leadership opportunities and giving back to our community. Membership in Tri Delta is much more than a four-year undergraduate experience; it is a lifelong legacy of friendship and sisterhood. Out of the 138 Tri Delta collegiate chapters across the country, we are the only chapter located in Memphis, right down the road from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, our national philanthropy. Over the past two years, Delta Psi has raised over $100,000 for St. Jude, and we are committed to building upon our already outstanding relationship with this amazing organization. We invite you to look around our website to learn more about our chapter. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions!
Our chapter is so blessed to celebrate 82 years on Rhodes' Campus today, April 8th. Happy Birthday Delta Psi!
Delta Days is a Huge Success!
Our chapter is so excited to announce that Delta Days raised over SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! This is more than any Delta Days in the past, and we are so thankful for everyone's help in making this weekend a huge success!
Delta Days is just Around the Corner!
Delta Days, our chapter's weekend long fundraising event, is THIS WEEKEND March 1-3. The officers in charge of the event have been working around the clock to make everything perfect. The events are:
Friday March 1st: Pink Door Percentage Day. The Pink Door is a Lilly Pulitzer store in Memphis that has agreed to give all students, with an I.D., 15% off, and donate 15% of all the proceeds that day!
Saturday March 2nd: Game Day for St. Jude. The event will run from 10am-2pm. The softball and baseball teams both have double-headers and we want to show our support. Our chapter will be selling St. Jude merchandise as well as drinks (in cute St. Jude cups you get to keep!), and all the money made will go to the hospital. The Central Barbecue Truck will be on campus from 11am-2pm, and 15% of all the proceeds will go to St. Jude!
Sunday March 3rd: "Bids for the Kids" Date/Live Auction. We will be auctioning off dates with Rhodes Students as well as some awesome items. Tickets are $5 and get you a yummy petit four, a paddle to make bids, and entered into the raffle. There will be a patient speaker halfway through to share their experience with Rhodes campus!
Megan Ververis Wins Philanthropy Chair of the Year at St. Jude Convention!
Every Year, St. Jude invites the previous and new philanthropy chairs from every Tri Delta chapter around the country to come to Memphis and see the hospital. Luckily for us, it isn't a far trip! Our very own Megan Ververis was honored at the convention this year as the Philanthropy Chair of the YEAR! She served as Delta Psi's Philanthropy chair for 2012, and did an amazing job. Thanks for all your hard work Megan! Delta snaps and love!
